The Contemporary China Research Clippings Indexes is a collection primarily gathered by the Friends Research Institute, featuring clippings from newspapers published in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China from the 1950s to the 1970s. It includes approximately 230 Chinese newspapers and 40 Chinese journals, focusing on news related to the Taiwan Strait, as well as political, social, military, cultural, and educational developments in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and overseas Chinese communities. The collection was discovered and catalogued by the Hong Kong Baptist University Contemporary China Research Institute between 2013 and 2014.
