Subscription & Cancellation Policy

OpenPWA Subscription & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

OpenPWA offers a free Member account and an optional paid Developer Membership. This policy explains how the Developer Membership subscription starts, renews, and ends.

Developer Membership is a monthly subscription priced at $1.99 per month. It is sold and processed on the web by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Subscription checkout is launching soon.

2. Starting a Subscription

You can start a Developer Membership from the Pricing or Developer Membership page by selecting Developer and completing payment through Paddle’s secure checkout.

Access to Developer features is granted after payment is confirmed. You are subscribing to features on the OpenPWA platform, not purchasing individual apps.

3. Renewal

Developer Membership renews automatically every month.

On each renewal date, the subscription fee is charged to your registered payment method through Paddle.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the customer portal.

When you cancel, automatic renewal is turned off and you are not charged again from the next billing date.

5. When a Subscription Ends

If you cancel, your Developer Membership stays active until the end of the current paid billing period and ends after that.

If a renewal payment fails, the subscription may become past due and, if payment is not completed, may end according to the payment provider’s dunning process.

6. Access After a Subscription Ends

When Developer Membership ends, your account returns to the free Member tier.

Only access to Developer-only features is removed. Your data — such as favorites, collections, search history, and any apps you registered — is retained and not deleted.

7. Billing History and Receipts

You can view your invoices and receipts and manage your payment method through the customer portal provided by Paddle.

8. Refunds and Exceptions

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, any refund is processed through Paddle.

A refund may be considered in exceptional cases, such as a duplicate charge or a clear system error on OpenPWA’s part that prevented use of the subscription. To request one, contact us by email; we will review eligible requests and process approved refunds through Paddle.

A refund may be difficult where the subscription has already been used normally, for a simple change of mind after use, or where account or feature restrictions resulted from a policy violation.

OpenPWA does not sell subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play, so those stores’ purchase and refund processes do not apply.

9. Payments for Third-Party Apps

OpenPWA is a directory and search engine that links to third-party web apps.

Any payments, subscriptions, or refunds for those external services are handled by each service under its own policies, not by OpenPWA.

10. Changes to This Policy

OpenPWA may update this policy as the service evolves.

Significant changes will be announced on the service screen or by other appropriate means, and take effect when posted.
