OpenPWA takes the privacy of its users seriously.

OpenPWA collects only the minimum information necessary to provide its services, and uses the information collected solely for clearly defined purposes.

• Subscription plan information, and a payment-processor (Paddle) customer identifier when you subscribe
• Information saved by the user, such as favorites, collections, and recently viewed apps
• Search history and service usage history
• App registration and developer management information
• Approximate region/country inferred from access, and anonymous usage measurement (analytics) such as page and app views
• Referral/marketing attribution (e.g., UTM parameters) and an anonymous device identifier stored in a cookie
• Technical information necessary for service operation, such as device/environment information, browser information, and error logs

3. Purpose of Use

Collected information is used for the following purposes.

• Member identification and maintaining login sessions
• Providing plan-specific features to each user
• Providing personal features such as favorites and collections
• Managing search usage and rate limits
• Providing app registration and management features
• Responding to customer inquiries
• Improving service quality
• Security, error verification, and fraud prevention

4. Retention Period

OpenPWA retains personal information for as long as necessary to provide its services.

When a user requests account deletion or the purpose of using their personal information has been fulfilled, the information is deleted or de-identified, except where retention is required by applicable law.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

OpenPWA does not arbitrarily sell or provide users’ personal information to third parties.

6. External Services and Payments

OpenPWA uses external services for operational purposes such as authentication and data storage (Supabase), payments (Paddle), and analytics.

Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, acting as the Merchant of Record. Payment method details (such as card information) are handled by Paddle and are not stored by OpenPWA; OpenPWA processes only the minimum information necessary, such as a customer/subscription identifier and payment status.

7. Cookies and Sessions

OpenPWA may use cookies or session information to maintain login sessions, ensure security, and improve the user experience.

Users can restrict cookie storage through their browser settings, but doing so may prevent some features from working properly.
